We are not a tour operator

This is an independent guide. It is not the official website of any boat company, captain or booking platform, and it is not connected to the operators listed here. We do not sell tickets, take payments or handle bookings. Every reservation, change, refund and question goes to the operator or the platform you booked through.

Several local businesses use names built from the same words as this site's domain. Where an operator is named on these pages, it is named as a third party whose trip we are describing.

Why the site exists

Six dolphin trips leave from three different docks on and around the island, and the booking pages tell you almost nothing that helps you choose between them. They rarely mention that two boats share the same marina, that the private charters price per boat rather than per head, or that a public trip needs six passengers before it leaves the dock.

We put those details side by side: what a seat costs, which car park you are driving to, how long the boat stays out, and what a crew can and cannot legally do around a wild dolphin.

How the trips are chosen

Every trip on this site sells through Viator or GetYourGuide, which means published ratings, published review counts and a cancellation policy in writing. We include a trip when it meets a plain baseline:

A working operator with a current listing and a real departure address
A published rating and review count we can quote and date
Free cancellation up to at least 24 hours before departure
Enough detail in the listing to describe the boat, the route and the group size honestly

Where the facts come from

Prices, ratings, review counts and departure addresses come from the operators' own listings and carry the date we checked them. Figures on the resident dolphin population come from the Sarasota Dolphin Research Program, which has studied these animals since 1970. Viewing rules and penalties come from NOAA Fisheries and the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Rainfall and sea temperature figures are long-term monthly averages for Bradenton.

Operators change prices and boats. If something here is out of date, the booking page wins, and we would like to hear about it.

How the site makes money

The site is free to read. When you book through a link here, the platform may pay us a commission, and you pay the same price you would pay going direct. Commission rates do not decide the order of the trips or what we say about them.

The cheapest trip on the page earns us the least.
